Love and Strength,
Just to give an idea of what I eat regularly I am showing what I ate for breakfast and lunch today, and giving my papaya or pawpaw cream dressing which again is just an adjustment to me seasoned ginger dressing, but just so creamy in texture and sweet yet filled with the fire of onion and ginger!
Breakfast part one and two,
Smoothie, now I don't think one should mix acidic with alkaline fruits when juicing, I plan to read up more on that, but this morning I had bounty as I restocked my fruits and I just wanted everything in sight! So
Tropical Juice breakfast drink (for when you can indulge)
Make in the big blender
Juice of one ripe orange
Cup of clean/spring water, coconut if u have it!
I am patiently, (not so patiently) waiting on my tree to be ready again.
Press liquefy on the blender.
This is a thick smoothie that will give good energy to start the day. I had after yoga stretching. I do sun salutation combined with the 25 steps of Queen Afua's Womb Dance which can be found in Sacred Woman or she has a chart I hope to get.
Then I made a wrap
Chick peas not crushed or anything just cooked.
Patchoy or bokchoy
3 tbsp apple cider vinegar or juice of 1-2 lemons
1.5 tbsp coconut oil for cooking
Dash Sea salt and/or vegan seasoning salt
Dash oregano leaves dried and all type of dried leaves
Piece of rosemary fresh from the garden
These two spices I use them in everything!
Shake it well. I don't put in the fridge as it doesn't last past two days, but you can.
Then I have some store bought wraps and put it together. I really haven't won making wraps but it is essential to not buy these items that have in preservatives. Wraps is only a once monthly indulgence for me because I don't make them. An alternative to wrap is Sada Roti or flat bread or anything that you can get fresh or make yourself!
This time I Used these ingredients
Tomato - I have from a little girl eaten this everyday, can't not have it!
Purple or red cabbage
Red sweet pepper
And I grated
Sprouted lentils stir fry
Now I have read lentils must be sprouted to digest them properly, which is not the regular Caribbean way to make them. So I advise looking online to find a great method. I will post one soon.
I tried just sprouting them and adding them to salads and they have an earthy flavour which is nice, but I found they made me gassy and so I decided to stir fry them, and a friend told me it was better to still do that for a few minutes and they were just softened and tasted better.
Prepare some fresh seasoning
onion, pimento, garlic, grated ginger, turmeric
some cooking coconut oil
1/4 cup oil
Stir Fry for no more than seven minutes and keep it moist with a little water when needed and cover it with just stirring occasionally.
1 cup quinoa
Chopped seasonings again like with the lentils
2 cup water
It is just like making rice.
Stir fry seasonings
Add the water and spices and quinoa and cook over low heat til boiled out

Small/ medium Thumb of Ginger

Add everything together on the plate and full-joy
I hope these two meals give a good visual as to the type of food you can prepare fresh everyday make one big salad leaving ingredients separated so it will last through out the day. The bigger the family the more you will adjust your recipe.
